Mike received his B.S. in Psychology and Sociology and his M.S. in Human Resources Management from the University of Oregon. He earned his M.S. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Alaska, Anchorage and his doctoral degree from Alaska Pacific University in Counseling Psychology. At Greatland Clinical Associates he provides psychotherapy to adults.
His clinical interests include working with depression/mood disorders, anxiety, difficulties with mood regulation, interpersonal trauma/adult survivors of childhood verbal, physical and sexual abuse. He has cofacilitated numerous psychoeducation and process oriented groups for survivors of relational/childhood trauma. Mike has actively pursued training and consultation in a variety of clinical areas including Acceptance and Commitmant Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. He is also interested in the growing field of Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) and other Mindfulness based approaches and their implications for therapy practice.
